Basic setup flow

Most baes scan setups follow the same path: invite @BAESBuyBot, run /watch, confirm the saved pool, then tune how posts look in Telegram. The command examples below use Base because that is the most requested launch environment right now, but the chain value can change when your target chain is supported.

To add @BAESBuyBot to a Telegram group, invite @BAESBuyBot and give it permission to post before running the setup commands.

Use a block number very close to the token's first mint, or the exact block where the token was first minted. That gives the bot the cleanest starting point for finding the pool. If you need a chain or route that is not live yet, contact @mrtdlgc on Twitter/X or Telegram with the chain, DEX, token, and pool details.

Guided setup

For non-technical admins, start with the command alone:

/watch

The bot shows chain buttons, then asks for the token contract and first-mint block. The same flow includes help buttons for what a token contract is, why the block number matters, and where to find it.

If the market is already known, start with:

/pool

That opens the known-pool flow. Pick the chain, paste the pool contract or v4 pool ID, then paste the target token contract. Use this when a chart link or deployer message already gives you the exact pool.

Start with watch

Use /watch to add buy alerts to the current chat:

/watch base 0xToken any <firstMintBlock> all

Use a specific quote token when you know the active market:

/watch base 0xToken weth <firstMintBlock> all
/watch base 0xToken usdc <firstMintBlock> all

Use DEX and protocol filters when the token trades on a specific route:

/watch base 0xToken any <firstMintBlock> uniswap v4 all
/watch base 0xToken any <firstMintBlock> pancakeswap v3 all
/watch base 0xToken any <firstMintBlock> aerodrome all

For Clanker-style Base v4 launches:

/watch base 0xToken any <firstMintBlock> uniswap v4 clanker

Add a known pool directly

If you already have the pool address, add it directly. This is the cleanest path for Curve, Balancer, or any route where the pool is known before you open Telegram.

/pool base 0xPoolAddress 0xTargetToken

For Uniswap v4 pool IDs:

/pool base 0xV4PoolId 0xTargetToken <firstMintBlock>

For a full v4 pool key:

/pool base 0xCurrency0 0xCurrency1 3000 60 0xHooks 0xTargetToken

Manage the chat

Use these after the pool is added:

/pools
/status
/pause
/resume
/remove 0xPoolOrId

Use /pools before changing a setup. It is the fastest way to see whether the chat is tracking the pool you think it is tracking. Use /pause when you want to stop posts without losing the saved setup, then /resume when the group is ready again.

Tune alerts

Use /settings for the inline settings panel. Common settings include minimum buy size, emoji or text, media, alert topic, and backfill behavior.

/settings

In Telegram forum groups, route alerts into the current topic:

/topic here

Optional preflight

/scan exists as a dry-run command when you want to inspect a route before posting alerts. It is optional. For normal setup, use /watch with the exact first-mint block or a block very close to it.

If you only remember one setup rule, remember this: /watch is the command you give users. /pool is for exact known pools. /scan is a secondary diagnostic, not the primary setup path.

Summary

Use /watch to enable, /pool when you know the pool, /pools to confirm, and /settings to make alerts match the group. New admins can run /watch or /pool without arguments and follow the buttons; power users can keep using the full command shapes.
