PancakeSwap v2 on Base

PancakeSwap v2 is a familiar route for teams that want a classic pair market on Base. The command shape is simple, but it is still worth separating it from Uniswap v2 and PancakeSwap v3. When a token has multiple pools, "v2" and "PancakeSwap" are not interchangeable details. They decide which buys will appear in Telegram.

When you are ready to add alerts, invite @BAESBuyBot to the Telegram group, give it permission to post, and run the route command from that group or topic.

baes scan supports Base PancakeSwap v2 with the pancakeswap v2 filter, plus direct pool entry when the pair is already known.

Enable PancakeSwap v2 alerts

Invite @BAESBuyBot to Telegram and run /watch with the exact first-mint block, or a block very close to it:

/watch base 0xToken any <firstMintBlock> pancakeswap v2 all

Use any when you do not know the quote token yet. If the market is definitely against WETH or USDC, specify that quote:

/watch base 0xToken weth <firstMintBlock> pancakeswap v2 all

If you already have the pair address:

/pool base 0xPairAddress 0xTargetToken

For teams running a launch, direct pool entry is often the cleaner path. It makes the alert setup independent from whether someone wrote the quote token correctly in the command.

Group settings

Use:

/settings
/pools
/status

Set the minimum buy size so the group sees the right level of activity. PancakeSwap v2 pairs can produce a lot of small trades during volatile periods, so the threshold should match the group size and launch stage.

When PancakeSwap v2 is the right alert source

Use the PancakeSwap v2 route when that is the pool your community recognizes as the launch or trading market. If a token has liquidity on both PancakeSwap and Uniswap, do not assume all buys are equal. Telegram alerts should match the chart link, DEX link, and community expectation.

This is also why direct pool entry matters. A pair address is unambiguous. If the team has already shared the PancakeSwap pair in chat, adding that pair with /pool is often better than a broad token setup. It makes the setup easier to explain to moderators: the group is watching this pair, on this chain, for this token.

The first-mint block matters here too. If the block is far away from the token's first mint, the setup can become less predictable for newly launched pairs. Use the exact first-mint block when you have it.

If alerts are too frequent, raise the minimum buy size. If alerts feel missing during the first minutes of launch, lower the threshold and check /pools before changing anything else.

A PancakeSwap v2 setup should name PancakeSwap v2 directly and give the team commands they can test immediately.

Chain setup

This guide covers Base. If you need PancakeSwap v2 alerts on another chain and do not see a guide for it, contact @mrtdlgc on Twitter/X or Telegram with the chain, token, and pair address.

Summary

Use pancakeswap v2 when the active Base market is a PancakeSwap v2 pair. Enable with /watch, confirm with /pools, or use /pool if you already know the pair address.
