Pangolin v2 alerts are simple, but pair choice still matters
Pangolin is a familiar Avalanche name, and v2-style pair alerts are usually easier to reason about than concentrated-liquidity routes. There is a token, a quote asset, and a pair that the community watches. The trap is assuming that "simple" means "automatic." A token can still have more than one pool, stale liquidity, or a chart link nobody is using anymore.
baes scan gives Telegram admins a direct Pangolin v2 setup for Avalanche. The bot watches the token route and posts buy alerts where the community is already gathered.
Invite @BAESBuyBot, allow it to post, and run the setup command from the group or topic.
Add Pangolin v2 buy alerts
Use:
/watch avalanche <token> any <first_mint_block> pangolin v2
Check the saved watch:
/pools
If alerts belong in a topic:
/topic here
Then tune with:
/settings
A v2 pair can create lots of small buys during a revival or campaign. Raise the minimum when the room wants only meaningful posts.
When Pangolin is the right route
Use Pangolin v2 when the community link, liquidity, and buyer activity all point there. If people are trading on Trader Joe, Uniswap v3, or another Avalanche DEX, a Pangolin watch will not tell the whole story. That is not a settings issue; it is a route issue.
For older Avalanche communities, Pangolin alerts can be useful precisely because the route is recognizable. A named Pangolin feed tells returning holders that the group is watching the pool they remember, instead of forcing them to decode a generic Avalanche alert.
Support notes
Send the token, Pangolin pair link, first mint block if known, and Telegram group to @mrtdlgc on Twitter/X or Telegram if setup needs help. If there are several pairs, say which one the group considers primary.
Summary
For a Pangolin Telegram buybot on Avalanche, use /watch avalanche <token> any <first_mint_block> pangolin v2, verify the pair with /pools, and tune the feed with /settings. The setup is straightforward, but the correct pair still matters.
