Topics keep buy alerts out of the main chat

Telegram forum topics are useful for launch groups. The main chat can stay conversational while buy alerts land in a dedicated topic that holders can pin, watch, or ignore.

baes scan supports topic routing with a short command from the topic where alerts should appear.

Run /topic here inside the alert topic

Open the Telegram topic that should receive buy posts. Then run:

/topic here

That tells @BAESBuyBot to use the current topic for alerts. Do not run it from the main chat if you want posts in a separate alert room.

Add or confirm the market

If the token is not saved yet, run /watch and follow the guided chain, token, and first-mint block prompts:

/watch

Power users can also add it directly:

/watch base 0xToken any <firstMintBlock> all

Or, for a known pool, run /pool and follow the pool prompts:

/pool

The direct known-pool command is:

/pool base 0xPoolAddress 0xTargetToken

Then run:

/pools

Topic routing and pool setup are different checks. A correct topic will not help if the group is watching the wrong market.

Check permissions

The bot needs permission to post in the group. In some Telegram groups, topic permissions or admin settings can block messages even when the bot was invited correctly.

If alerts do not appear, check:

  • The bot is still in the group.
  • The bot can post messages.
  • The correct topic was selected with /topic here.
  • The saved pool appears in /pools.
  • The alert threshold is not too high.

Tune the topic feed

Open:

/settings

A dedicated buy-alert topic can usually tolerate more posts than the main chat, but it still needs to be readable. Choose a minimum buy size and message style that makes the topic feel useful rather than noisy.

Moving alerts to a new topic

If the group creates a better topic later, move into that topic and run /topic here again. Then post a short moderator note so the team knows where alerts moved.

You do not need to rebuild the whole setup just because the output topic changes. Confirm /pools, reset the topic, and test from there.
